The Morning After

Last night we stepped out of our comfort zone, or at least I did, and opened up our home to some friends.  Our house was filled with the smells of good food and the sounds of laughter.

I’m so glad we did this and look forward to making it a more regular occurrence in our home.

Now for a lazy Saturday in our pajamas… ignoring those dishes.

  1. The post dinner party sink full of dirty dishes in the morning scene make my heart so happy. It is the one time I actually enjoy doing dishes. I use it as a time of reflection on the night we spent with good friends, delicious food, great conversation, and hilarious jokes. Dinner parties always leave me feeling so refreshing. I don't do much socializing but a dinner party will fill me with such joy that I can get by another 4-6 weeks without much adult conversation. Keep opening up your door Molly and I might just show up! 🙂
