The Litany of Motherhood

This started as just one snarky Instagram post about my hatred of doing the dishes but became so much more.  So without much further ado, I give you the Litany of Motherhood…

For those still look at last night’s dishes, hoping they’ll wash on their own…

we pray.

For those of us who LITERALLY JUST VACUUMED….

we pray.

For those of us who clearly don’t own coatracks…

we pray.

For those of us who have drawers that only open and never close…

we pray.

For those of us with laundry that hasn’t apparated upstairs on its own…

we pray.

For those of us who call this a win that the books are at least on the bookshelf…

we pray.

For those of us who pull out the reserves when the kids are playing outside…

we pray.

For those of us who have been going all day and feel like we’ve accomplished nothing…

we pray.

Lord, hear our prayer.
